In Memory Of

Thursday November 4th, 2009
Army Base Fort Hood

A gunman opened fire on his fellow soldiers. Wounding 31 and killing 12 of our brave men and women of the United States Army.

This attack hit close to home for us. Fort Hood is in Killeen Texas, where we met and dated. We made our first home there. Killeen is where we spent the first year of our marriage. It was a very happy time for us as we worked and went to school. Matt even had classes on the base! We have many friends in and from the area. Luckily no one we know was injured. But even more than a week later it is still shocking...

To the families of the Ft. Hood fallen, we're so sorry. We hope and pray that peace will come to you in this dark time. Know that you have our love and support.

Hi! Saw you on SIStv sharing about your Ruby. Through that link, I ended up here. I teach on Ft. Hood. The students were certainly impacted by this, but fortunately are resilient and were able to move on. Thanks for thinking of those impacted by the tragedy.
